I went with the A5 Slimpad in Waxed Pueblo (Margot Fog) leather in black, paired with silver Krause rings and a silver spine. Right out of the box, the first thing that hit me was how slim and lightweight it feels while still looking super premium and structured. I walk through the details that make the MeePlus system stand out to me: the premium Italian leather (and the fact that it’s going to develop a smooth patina over time), the customization options, and the overall build quality—especially those German Krause rings with that strong, reliable closure. I also talk about the lay-flat design (it lays completely flat immediately), plus the rounded back-strip corners, which is such a thoughtful touch if you’ve ever been scratched by hardware. I chose the 16mm rings so I can carry more inserts and accessories, but I also mention the 11mm option if you want the slimmest everyday-carry setup. Overall, this one feels like it’s going to become a real staple in my lineup.
