About This Video

This video is a full tour of my current “dream” work-from-home desk setup as I’m trying to lock in something that’ll carry me through the end of 2025. I walk through the big upgrades that actually matter day to day as a full-time cinematographer—stuff that keeps editing, offloads, and general freelance chaos feeling clean and repeatable. The goal isn’t just a pretty desk… it’s a workstation that stays practical when I’m bouncing between client work, gear prep, and creator projects. I break down the foundation of the build (butcher block top, motorized legs, and caster wheels) and then get into the workflow pieces: a huge ultrawide monitor on a heavy-duty arm, a Thunderbolt dock to keep my laptop setup simple, and storage/organization to keep the desktop from turning into a cable graveyard. On the audio side, I’m running Adam Audio monitors with a subwoofer—plus a foot switch so I can kill the sub instantly when I’m doing late-night edits. If you’re building a desk for video work, this is basically my checklist for comfort, speed, and a setup that doesn’t fight you every day.
