This was my first home office project of the year, and it came straight from a real problem: I added a few new cameras to my kit and my “gear corner” stopped working. In this video I build out a dedicated camera gear storage closet that lets me store cases, keep accessories organized, and actually build cameras in one place without constantly digging through piles. The goal wasn’t “Pinterest perfect” — it was functional, fast, and something I can live with as a full-time freelance cinematographer. I walk through the layout, the shelving choice, and how I’m thinking about workflow: heavy cases down low, grab-and-go items at chest height, and a clean surface where I can build rigs without scratching anything. I also add a simple tabletop liner to keep bodies, lenses, and plates from sliding around while I’m swapping parts.
