Podman is Docker, but secure by default thanks to a fundementally different approach to containerisation and rootless operation. In this video I describe the benefits of Podman over a default Docker deployment, as well as some of the core principles that differentiate the two. I also show how to deploy a VM with a Proxmox template (more to come on that), how to install and configure Podman with Docker Compose files, as well as showing you how to deploy common apps like Portainer, Jellyfin, and Dashy.
