So many of y’all have been asking me about courses—what to take, if I’m making one, and where to start—so I finally sat down and did it. I drove to Corpus Christi, grabbed an Airbnb, and basically locked in for the weekend to build out the course content. Before I got into the code, I gave a quick “light” desk setup tour: my 16-inch 2021 MacBook Pro (16GB RAM), the F96 IQUNIX keyboard in coral, a wrist rest, my Logitech MX Master vertical (best mouse on the market in my opinion), AirPods Max, and a simple HP monitor. For the actual build, I decided the course is going to be web development with HTML and CSS. Python was where I started, but it felt invisible—web dev is when it clicked because you can actually see what your code is doing and show people what you made. The final project is a Twitter clone because it’s a simple, familiar layout with three main sections, and it’s fun to recreate. I built the end project first (about 75% in one push, then finished the next morning), and I’m going to teach exactly what you need to build it—nothing extra. Also, when I got stuck, ChatGPT made debugging CSS way more conversational than digging through Stack Overflow, and that’s a real part of how I work now.
