If you don’t care about extra length, I’d say get your true size. I did remove the pockets from my dress because I didn’t like where they hit on me. My mom stitched the holes for me and it’s like they were never there! Generally I am a 3X-4X depending on brand, fit, etc. I’m smaller on top, bigger on bottom. I’m 5’7 and wear an 11 wide in most shoes.
