How do you tariff a movie? So many movies are not being made in America because of a lack of incentives. Hollywood is struggling, jobs are being lost, and movies aren’t being made here nearly as much as they used to be. But the solution is absolutely not to implement tariffs on anything not made in America, putting economic sanctions on foreign films and limiting their access by making them economically unviable. The solution is right in the statement - bring back more incentives, and also let filmmakers in other countries have their films shown here. This is all part of a larger effort to isolate Americans. They don’t want you to see anything outside the bubble they create with the media. They don’t want you to see how maybe different cultures might do things better than we do. They don’t want you to think too hard, because America First, right? This is just the beginning. They’re coming for the movies. They’re coming for books. They’re coming for music. They’re coming for anything they don’t like, using insane tactics like tariffs and unlawful executive orders to do what they please while the courts fights it out for years.
