How to Grow Cilantro in the Hot Summer Months - Square Foot Gardening

79.2K views· 396 likes· 5:17· Jul 30, 2015

I'm growing cilantro in the square foot garden this year. In summer or any hot weather it can bolt (flower early). The flower is tall and beautiful. However, the leaves get a very soapy flavor too. So, I've been saving seed from the some of the plants and putting down large batches of seed. The baby cilantro tastes great and can be harvested all summer long. Eventually these plants will bolt and it will be time to plant some more batches.
