When money is invested you're assuming that it'll earn you a return of some sort. But one thing we all know is that you can lose money in the stock market just as easily as you can make money. If this is the case then when we invest money are we speculating that we'll earn a higher return or are we speculating that our money will grow? It can get a little confusing so in this video, I'll go over the differences between investing vs. speculating. By the end of it, you'll be able to spot what a speculative investment is so that you know how NOT to invest your money. Everyone's situation is different so do your own research before making any decisions with your money. If you need help then contact a Certified Financial Fiduciary before trying anything that is mentioned in this video. I prefer a Fiduciary financial advisor that charges an hourly fee as opposed to an ongoing fee based on a % of your portfolio. Always remember that incentives determine the type of advice they give you so one that charges an hourly fee is less likely to be problematic.
