About This Video

In this video I’m basically handing you my “Strat Pack” for the Hotone Ampero Mini—five ready-to-play patches built around what Strats do best: clean, blues, funk, and those classic, record-inspired tones. The whole idea is simple: plug in, pick a patch, and you’re immediately in the ballpark without having to fight levels, FX order, or weird gain staging. These are tones I curated and tweaked specifically for the Ampero Mini, and they’re meant for real-world playing, not just bedroom “wow” sounds. I walk through patches like a Hendrix-style rig with wah (expression configured), fuzz face, Plexi, univibe, and plate reverbs that sit right. For Texas blues, I’ve got my little “secret sauce” for that Dumble-ish thickness with more fendery amp vibes and Two Rock-style cabs, plus a Tube Screamer and a Leslie-style swirl. Then there’s a John Mayer clean setup—thick compression, warm-but-chimey amp tones, nice verbs, and a modded TS drive with a warm chorus option. I also included a Gilmour lead patch for that thick sustaining “Comfortably yum” feel, and a funk patch with auto-wah and chorus dimension—basically just what you need for that Strat.
