TikTok, livestreams, underground injectors, black market silicone, at-home cosmetic procedures… and the devastating consequences that often follow. In this video I look at the story of 'tiktok famous' Elva, a 27-year-old trans woman from Poland whose appearance recently went viral online after years of injecting DIY silicone into her face. What started as an attempt to look more feminine eventually spiralled into severe facial disfigurement, chronic damage, and a growing addiction to cosmetic procedures. But Elva’s story is only part of a much larger and much darker issue. Like the horrifying case of Oneal Ron Morris, known as the “Toxic Tush Doctor,” who carried out illegal cosmetic procedures using substances like cement, mineral oil, tire sealant, and super glue. Her victims were left permanently disfigured, critically ill, and in some cases...even dead. Unlike much of the internets reaction to these victims, this isn’t a video about mockery or shock value. Behind these stories are real people, real desperation, and a growing global problem that’s becoming harder to ignore. Especially for those who are must vulnerable and overlooked.
