So I found all these plywood bits destined for the bin at work, rather then throw them out I thought they would come in handy for a project or 2. I then watched a tv show about caves, and the idea to prototype a new table base design was born. I always intended this to be the prototype design, and the end goal was to use it in my house for a while as well to see how well it worked as a table, unfortunately, it didn't get that far!
