Fender Player II Stratocaster

This is my personal Fender Player II Stratocaster, and it’s the guitar that surprised me the most in this shootout. It punches way above its weight for the price, and I actually preferred its neck feel (those rolled fingerboard edges) and its more aggressive, versatile pickup character.

Pros

+Excellent value for the money; punches above its weight

+Player Series Alnico 5 pickups are more aggressive and versatile

Cons

-Pickups could use a bit more clarity/fidelity
-May benefit from a simple wiring upgrade (pots/caps)
