I am going to show you what I know about Rakuten’s cash back system and hope to help someone like myself, Who is suspicious (about online promos) to help you better understand how it works. This is not a sponsored video it is my own opinion Stores pay Rakuten a commission for sending customers to shop at their stores. Rakuten then shares a portion of their commission with their members in the form of cash back. You have to shop the store through Rakuten by either downloading's the browser extension, using the mobile app to open the store you want to shop, or going through Rakuten’s website to reach the store you want to shop. In just a moment I will go through the site and show it to you. You are shopping at the stores website so the prices you are paying are not any different. You can also add your credit card to your Rakuten account, link In-Store offers to your card and then use that card to shop in the store. To join Rakuten you only need to sign up for free using an email address and creating a password. Rakuten is always free, no surprise fees or ‘upgraded’ memberships. Once you have begun a shopping trip with a participating store using one of the methods mentioned above, you will be notified that cash back has been activated for that shopping trip. Complete your shopping trip as normal and once the store notifies Rakuten of your order, cashback will be added to your account. Pros 2,500 stores with cash back offers. Easy to use website and mobile app. Cash back savings from over 2,500 stores and brands, including Nike, Walmart, Target, Chewy, and a lot more. Downside if any?? Rakuten pays out every 3 months. No matter what your cash back balance is, you will either receive a check in the mail or they will make a payment to your PayPal account depending on which method you choose.
