The band has grown to over 45 members with rehearsals one-two times a month and concerts three times a year, performing for hundreds. Bringing together local musicians, students, music enthusiasts and former concert band members, the community band provides a fun and educational opportunity for people of all ages to get together and make music. The band usually rehearses on Monday nights, October through May, at 5:45 in Thomas Persons Hall. New members are always welcome. The Monticello Community Band is incorporated in the State of Georgia and is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization.
