This video builds on the previous video in which I showed how to use the MIDI Note color feature along with the chord track to help keep your MIDI notes in the correct chord and the correct key. In this video I show how to use the 4th color option - notes that are part of the chord but not part of the key and scale. This happens when using a progression that contains borrowed chords or chord substitution. In this video I walk through and example of the a simple progression that moves from IV to I. The twist is to move the IV minor chord first which uses a note that is not part of the key. In the example I set that type of note to appear in yellow.
