This week was all about preparing for the Kings Mountain Mountaineer Festival - but nothing ever goes exactly as planned in the print shop. From a burning A1 Mini toolhead smell to realizing I printed way too many dragons and not enough flexi animals, this week taught me some valuable lessons! ⏰ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 - Monday: Weekly Plans & Festival Prep Begins 03:40 - Tuesday: Burning Smell from A1 Mini Toolhead 07:10 - Complete Toolhead Disassembly & Inspection 13:39 - Thursday: A1 Mini Update and print progress 16:55 - Friday: Pre-Festival Realizations 20:12 - Saturday: Kings Mountain Festival Setup 22:02 - Sales Wrap-up & Results 🎯 This Week's Festival Focus: - Kings Mountain Mountaineer Festival preparation - A1 Mini toolhead emergency and resolution - Complete toolhead disassembly - Jumbo print expansion (4 new designs!) - Real sales breakdown and lessons learned 🛒 SHOP THE FESTIVAL FAVORITES: https://www.initiativedesign.shop/ 🎯 What You'll Learn This Week: ✅ Festival preparation and inventory planning ✅ Complete A1 Mini toolhead disassembly ✅ Troubleshooting burning smells from printers ✅ Proper toolhead deep cleaning techniques ✅ Jumbo print strategies for new products ✅ Balancing product mix for different events ✅ Post-event sales analysis Let's talk about that burning smell - my heart dropped when I noticed it coming from the A1 Mini toolhead area. The smell of burning electronics in a print farm is NOT something you want to ignore. Went through a complete toolhead disassembly to find the source. While I was in there, I figured I might as well do a deep clean since it's something we don't do often enough. This week I expanded to four new jumbo designs - Bigfoot, Cat, Unicorn, and Baby Cow. These take forever to print but customers LOVE them. Here's where I messed up this week - I got so focused on printing dragons (because they're popular and I wanted plenty of stock) that I completely neglected the flexi animals until Friday! The Kings Mountain Mountaineer Festival was quite the experience! The weather was rough at the start which kept traffic slow, but as the day went on it picked up to a pretty decent market. The booth setup worked well, and I'm learning more about what layouts work best for outdoor festivals versus farmers markets. But the absolute highlight of the weekend? Meeting Rocky, one of my subscribers, who came out to say hi at the market! If you're ever at one of my markets, PLEASE come say hi! I love meeting you all! Sales-wise, it was a mixed bag - certain items flew off the table while others didn't move at all. I'll break down exactly what sold and what didn't in the video. 🔗 AMAZON AFFILIATE LINKS - Filaments & Supplies I Actually Use: **ZIRO Filaments:** - Pastel Pink (Matte): https://amzn.to/47l5m1I - Yellow (Matte): https://amzn.to/4nMDh9p - Purple Sunset (Matte): https://amzn.to/3KK7MhC - Afterglow (Matte): https://amzn.to/4h3R2hi - Rosy Cloud (Matte): https://amzn.to/3KMOZ5c - Peachy Sunrise (Matte): https://amzn.to/42yyLTp - Maple Forest (Matte): https://amzn.to/3IEYYsQ - Rainbow (Silk): https://amzn.to/3VYY3Xd **Amolen:** - Rock Rainbow (Silk): https://amzn.to/478JYeZ **Creator:** - Burnt Titanium: https://amzn.to/478JYeZ **Elegoo:** - Wood PLA: https://amzn.to/4nQ9Pzp - Blue/Green (Silk): https://amzn.to/478JYeZ **SANMATE:** - Rose Quartz (Matte): https://amzn.to/42CJ0pT - Malachite: https://amzn.to/4q5blPp **IEMAI:** - Gradient Green (Silk): https://amzn.to/3J5kAyt **Jayo:** - Pink/Gold (Silk): https://amzn.to/47lqogD **Sunlu:** - Red/Blue (Silk): https://amzn.to/490oDGV **Creality:** - PETG Grey: https://amzn.to/3KO7rKM **OverTure:** - Blue/Silver (Silk): https://amzn.to/3KJF6Fr **Accessories:** - BIQU Cryogrip Plate: https://amzn.to/470h4xh #3DPrinting #FestivalPrep #KingsMountain #A1Mini #ToolheadRepair #SmallBusiness #JumboPrints #Dragons #FlexiAnimals #FestivalVendor #BurningSmell #PrinterMaintenance #SubscriberMeetup #BusinessLessons #3DPrintBusiness #PrintShop #MakerBusiness #OutdoorMarket 💬 COMMUNITY QUESTIONS: 1.
