I’ve been wanting to make this desk setup video for a while because I love how every setup is unique, and you can pull inspiration from literally any of them. My old desk had this weird clash between “gaming” and “productivity,” and since I don’t really game that much anymore, my goal this time was to go all-in on a clean, minimal productivity setup with a strong walnut vibe—mostly built around Grovemade. This setup took a little over a year to put together, and I’m still not fully done (I’m probably adding those popular wall panels soon). I start with the foundation: an IKEA Karlby walnut countertop paired with my old Autonomous desk legs, plus the Autonomous ErgoChair Ultra for long work sessions. Then I walk through the Grovemade accessories that actually improve my workflow—like the desk shelf, leather desk mat, keyboard/trackpad trays, wrist rests, iPad stand, MacBook dock, and a few catch-all trays for the small stuff. For tech, my M2 Max Mac Studio powers everything, hooked up to the Studio Display, with my iPad Pro as a secondary display when needed. I wrap it up with lighting (Philips Hue, BenQ ScreenBar Halo, Amaran) and some personal touches like wall shelves, pegboards, and Grid Studio frames to make the space feel like mine.
