The advantage of circular filters is that they are lighter and more compact, making them a great companion to have in your camera bag. The sets consist of stackable neutral density filters and a CPL, useful for both photographers and videographers, allowing you to control both reflections and light. All the filters are now colour-coded to make them easier to distinguish quickly in the field – silver for the polarizer, blue for ND8, gold for ND64, and red for ND1000. This is a simple and nice idea A Few months ago, Kase asked me to review their Wolverine Revolution Magnetic Circular Filters 77mm Entry Kit. It contains 77MM Magnetic Lens Adapter White Colour Coded Magnetic Circular Polarizer Blue Colour Coded Wolverine ND8 Neutral Density Filter (3 stop) Yellow Colour Coded Wolverine ND64 Neutral Density Filter (6 stop) 77MM Inlaid Ring Installation Guide Magnetic Lens Cap and Carry Pouch I did ask them to send me some extra Lens Caps and inlay rings for my other 77MM lens and 82MM lens as I wanted to take them along and be ready for instant use. So my unpacking box is a little bit bigger than the Entry Kit holds I've reviewed many filters from several manufacturers over the years, and what I look for in a good filter system is good usability, sharpness, and most importantly, color neutrality. Kase Revolution Magnetic Polarizer does not have any color cast or loss of detail. Using these filters tends to result in a loss of about 1 stop of exposure. This is normal and is the case with all other polarizers. Kase has taken its original magnetic circular filters and retained all the same attractions, while adding some genuinely useful updates. For photographers who use polarizing and ND filters, I can highly recommend the Revolution Magnetic Circular Filters You screw an adapter ring onto your lens, and the filters then clip on magnetically. Multiple filters can be stacked, allowing polarising and neutral density filters to be used at the same time. Entry-Level Kits include polarising, ND8 and ND64 filters, 3 and 6 stops, while Pro Kits add a 10 stop ND1000 filter. It wasn’t a problem for me because I stacked the ND8 and ND64 and by doing that, I got a 9 stopper The strength of the magnets has also been improved. Which we definitely needed here in Iceland where we are facing cold, windy and snowy winters. I can confirm the magnet strength is much improved. The carry case is now made from grey fabric, instead of leather. It uses a similar concertina design as before, like hanging them on your tripod, but now it opens wider, making the filters easier to access. The Kase Wolverine series filters are ranked as some of the best optically by independent reviews and their toughened glass construction adds extra durability and peace of mind. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thank you for watching.
