Bikepacking the Great Divide in Grizzly Territory & Ovando Montana (Day 12)

Bikepacking the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) in Grizzly Territory! This is DAY 12 of my first bikepacking learn-as-I-go adventure! 37 Miles 3300 Climbing In this episode I bike out of the adorable town of Ovando, Montana and get onto the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) heading north towards beautiful Holland Lake. A man tells me to turn around that there’s an obstacle in my way. I meet two awesome chicks bikepacking the whole Great Divide trail. I have a fun brief downhill with a guy who has the exact same bike and even swapped out his chainring like I did. The path is graded beautifully but there’s a lot of cars and dirt in my face. I finally reach a beautiful spot to camp after a long climb shouting, “Look out Mr. Bear” right on the edge of the mountain.
