Well… our port stop in Nanortalik, Greenland was canceled due to weather, but WOW did our Island Princess captain delivered a surprise! 🚢💨 Instead of calling on this port, we cruised through the Nuup Kangerlua Fjord, just north of Nuuk. It turned out to be and absolutely beautiful day and one of the most stunning scenic sailings we’ve ever experienced. Towering cliffs, floating icebergs, snow-capped peaks— AH-Mazing!! 🌬️🧊 It also happened to be our usual Thirsty Thursday LIVE day… but thanks to spotty Wi-Fi in the fjords, we weren’t able to go LIVE (no surprise there 😅). So instead, we recorded this as a “sort-of-live” bonus episode of our day instead. Join us as we share what we saw from our balcony—including a full timelapse at the end of the video! Whether you’re a fellow cruiser or dreaming of Greenland, this one’s for you. Unfortunate Reminder: Cruise port cancellations happen, especially in remote destinations like Greenland—but sometimes the detour turns into an unforgettable highlight.
