Bordeaux to Paris by High-Speed Train 🇫🇷 Our First Day in Paris

Travel days are never just about getting from one place to another — especially with us. We left Bordeaux by high-speed train, arrived in Paris in the rain, figured out how to get to our hotel, and somehow ended the night with French cheese, Bordeaux wine, and a hotel-room picnic that felt perfectly us. Join us as we travel from Bordeaux to Paris by high-speed train and share what a real travel day in France looks like. From navigating the Bordeaux train station and riding the fast train to Paris, to arriving at a busy Paris train station with luggage and rain coming down, this day had a little bit of everything. Once we made it to our Paris hotel, we checked in, got settled, and headed out for a quick grocery store run just a couple of minutes away. Instead of going out for a big dinner, we picked up French cheese, chorizo, salami, crackers, Bordeaux wine, and a few local finds for a simple Paris hotel-room picnic. After 16 days on the road, these are the kinds of travel moments that help us reset, save a little money, and get our bearings before exploring a new city. We also talk about choosing seats on high-speed trains, traveling Europe by rail, using Uber versus walking or public transportation with luggage, and what it’s like traveling through France in the off-season.
