Place a 2-inch layer of perlite at the bottom of your fabric pot. Perlite improves drainage and aeration, preventing waterlogged soil and ensuring the roots have access to oxygen. 2. Prepare a Slurry Test as Instructed 3. Premoisten the soil using .13 times the volume of soil in water that is pH balanced to better hit your target. 4. Mix, mix mix and mix, when you think you're done mixing, mix again. 5. Add premixed soil to your pots, do NOT compress and let this moist soil brew for at least 7 days.
