How to Use Instagram Share to Close Friends

Hey there guys, welcome back to another video and today I’ll be showing you how to use Instagram Close Friends in 2026. The Close Friends feature on Instagram lets you share private or exclusive content with only selected people instead of your entire followers list. You can use this feature for Stories, Reels, and even certain feed posts. To set up your Close Friends list, first open Instagram and head to your profile. Then tap on the three-line menu icon located in the top right corner. From there, select “Close Friends.” Now search for the people you want to add and tap the circle next to their names. Once you’re done, tap “Done.” Only you can see who is included in your Close Friends list. Now, if you want to share a Story only with Close Friends, swipe right from your home screen to create a Story. Take a photo, record a video, or upload media from your gallery. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see the “Close Friends” option. Tap on it to share the Story privately with only your selected people. For Reels, create or upload your Reel as usual and tap “Next.” On the final posting screen, look for the “Audience” or sharing settings section. Select “Close Friends,” then publish the Reel. Your content will now only be visible to the people on your Close Friends list.
