https://hownot2.com/products/z3-drill-powered-pulley Electric ascenders are super cool! I went to China to visit the AWAH factory where they make the Z2 and Z3 drill powered pulleys that we distribute. Chase, our in-house engineer, and I got to do the whole assembly process on 2 different models. The Z2A is an update to the Z2R. A stands for Arborist. The wheel accommodates 10mm and 11mm rope. We are working on a wheel for ½” for the U.S. market. This model has a swivel, which in addition to making it easier to position, allows the user to leave the device clipped into their harness while loading and unloading the rope. The new cover plate now has a detent allowing it to hold open. Both of these allow easier and faster transitions. Lots of less noticeable changes, like improved gears and rope wheels. The Z2A landed in the US and should be available at https://hownot2.com/collections/awah in the next few weeks. The Z3 is aimed at rope access and already has most of the features added to the Z2A. It also features a water-resistant housing and smoother lowering. Depending of which wheel you buy it can hand either 10 mm and 10.5mm or 11mm rope. The 11mm wheel was designed by our in house engineer, and both wheels are user-swappable. This allows the user to keep the unit running in the field without sending it in for a service just to replace the wheel. In addition to assembling Z3s, we did some testing with them while in China. We are working on obtaining the relevant EN and ANSI certifications for Z3. We hope to take you along with us for that process in a future video. 👉 Learn and SHOP at https://www.hownot2.com/ 👉 Best EMAILS on Earth: https://www.hownot2.com/signup 👉 10% off ROCKY TALKIE by clicking https://www.hownot2.com/rocky
