On the “pros” side, I highlight how beginner-friendly the app and browser extension feel, especially if you’re already in the Coinbase ecosystem and want a smoother step into self-custody. And for people using Web3 daily, the multi-chain support and dApp integration (Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, and more) is genuinely convenient. But I also call out the limitations: it’s still a hot wallet, so device compromise, malware, and phishing are real risks. Lose your recovery phrase and your funds are gone—no recovery. Gas fees can make small transfers painful (especially on Ethereum), it’s not fully open-source, it lacks some advanced tools compared to competitors like MetaMask, and wallet-specific support can be inconsistent.
