Also at this time of year try to use room temp water the cold will shock the plant. Humidity: Calathea need good humidity if you like in a part of the world that gets cold in winter the central heating can dry out your houseplants so not close to a radiator if possible, and mist as often as poss in winter, once a week won’t really do much good, if you have a mister to hand and can give it a mist as you walk past on a regular basis your Calathea will thank you! Temperature: Minimum of 15c over winter, that’s about 60f don’t leave it in a cold conservatory over winter, make sure it has a stable temp that doesn’t drop below 15c overnight.
