Hydroponic Testing System: Roots Exposed!

Hey everyone, in this video, I'm excited to share a major revamp of my DIY hydroponic grow pails. My goal is to make these systems even easier to run, allowing for quicker experiments and, most importantly, faster cleanup. I'm hoping to achieve a design where I can easily lift off the entire lid, exposing all the roots without the risk of damaging them, which has been an issue in the past. This new setup will streamline the entire process, making hydroponic gardening more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The main modifications include chopping down the pump's pipe below the pail lid and flush-mounting the drip irrigation. This eliminates the need for hooks inside the cups, a significant improvement. I'm also experimenting with changes to the perlite to potentially remove the need for cheesecloth. These adjustments are designed to simplify the system, reduce maintenance, and enhance the overall growing experience. I'm looking forward to showcasing the new design and demonstrating how these changes will benefit your hydroponic endeavors. One of the biggest advantages of this redesign is the ability to easily remove the entire top of the system. This means that once an experiment is complete, I can simply lift everything out and examine the root mass and growth without any damage, unlike before where I had to pull them through a small hole. This "before and after" comparison highlights the improved functionality and increased space for the plants.
