Happy Day 18 of Vlogmas! Today started with Holly’s haircut appointment (aka: she was not happy because she knew a bath was involved). Once we got to the groomer, she was totally fine—Shannon is the sweetest and always does such a good job. I grabbed coffee for my mom and me, brought Shannon a little gift, and then we got to do the best part: picking up a fresh, fluffy Holly with her cute little holiday scarf and a sweet treat from Shannon. After that, I headed to my parents’ house and we visited my doctor friend who’s recovering from surgery—she’s doing really well, and it sounds like her recovery should be pretty easy. I spent a lot of time giving her dogs attention (you guys know I can’t help it), then came home for advent calendar time and a very real “girl dinner” situation. The big mission for the night was coworker gifts: I did gift bags instead of wrapping because I just didn’t have the energy, and I made sure the bags were inclusive for my coworkers who are Jewish. I also shared what I picked out—classic decor pieces, cozy winter items, and a couple of favorites I genuinely love gifting—plus a little heartfelt moment remembering my grandpa during the holidays.
