Happy Day 13 of Vlogmas—day 13 is a lucky number in my family, so this one felt extra fun. I started the day getting the house a little more under control (aka condensing the package mountain into one big box of gifts I still need to wrap… which I used to love and now I’m fully dreading). Before heading out, I also shared a little real-life check-in: yes, I still go to therapy about once a month, and I’m so grateful for my therapist—she truly helped me through my separation/divorce and made me stronger. Then Mama Bee and I headed out for pedicures and I got fresh Christmas nails! I went with a cat-eye French and little poinsettias (with gold edging that almost looks like stained glass) because I wanted something festive but not too “only Christmas day” so they’ll still work after the holiday. Back home, I finally opened a stack of Christmas cards (I’m terrible about checking the mail) and unboxed the sweetest subscriber package from Rosario—pink bow garland, Diet Coke socks (yes, I’m in my Diet Coke era), candy cane lip balm, and more. To wrap the day, I made my family’s pignoli cookies—an Italian tradition my grandma used to do every year. They’re chewy, almond-y, covered in pine nuts, and honestly my favorite Christmas cookie. I packaged them up to bring to Haley and Brian’s cookie exchange party.
