Ctenanthe Lubbersiana is an evergreen perennial plant, native to Central and South America. They are usually grown for their attractive and variegated foliage. They can be grown as Indoor houseplants or outdoor as ground cover in tropical climates. Blog/ Written version : https://homemakr.org/2021/01/04/ctenanthe-lubbersiana-plant-propagation-in-water-care-and-about/ This plant loves to be moist well-drained soil of any type. These plants can tolerate temperatures up to 13 degree Celsius during cold weather but grow quite well in warm climates. Watering the plant regularly in summers keep them healthy. You might see curling of leaves which is a common problem in these plants and this happens due to extreme temperature conditions to avoid losing moisture in hot weather and to keep themselves warm in a colder climate. These are also susceptible to slugs, snails and mealybugs. Home remedies such as soapy water solution, baking soda solution can help in getting rid of these pests. It is super easy to propagate them in both soil and water. I prefer water propagation as roots formation is clearly visible. You must look for a stem with a cluster of leaves with nodes as shown in the video. Cut that stem and dip it in water. You can separate the different nodes if you want or leave it as a cluster, it's your choice. After a few weeks, you can see tiny roots coming out from the nodes (as shown in the video). You can do the same while propagating in soil. Just make sure that the soil remains moist and well-drained till the roots develop. ✅ Stay Connected, Subscribe and Follow Blog: https://homemakr.org/ YouTube: https://bit.ly/2YM5jIz Facebook: www.facebook.com/Homemakr ✅ Recommended playlists: Various Indoor/houseplants Plants Care and Propagation. https://bit.ly/3jldiEH Various Succulents Care and propagation: https://bit.ly/35UYet4 Various outdoor plants care and propagation: https://bit.ly/36Y1Ytj For more videos related to gardening, home, DIY, and tips subscribe to my channel via the following link. https://bit.ly/2SfaHQP
