I’m using cheap 10Gb SFP+ transceivers (including Intel modules) because they’re the best value for home fiber. SwOS even shows you useful info like module temperature, voltage, and optical TX/RX power, which makes troubleshooting a lot easier. For the price—often around $8–$10 each—fiber modules are hard to beat.
