The ConnectX-4 MCX455A is a serious piece of kit for a homelab—100Gb on a PCIe 3.0 x16 card with a QSFP28 port. I like it because it can run either InfiniBand or standard Ethernet, and with a simple mlxconfig change you can put it into Ethernet mode for normal switching and routing setups.
