CSE-847 Case...

The Supermicro CSE-847 is the whole reason this upgrade works: 45 bays in 4U lets me consolidate a ridiculous number of drives into fewer, cleaner shelves. With the SAS2 EL2 backplanes you get dual expanders for multipathing/failover, and it’s built to be cascaded with standard SFF-888 cabling. They can be loud and power-hungry stock, but with the right fan choices it becomes a very practical homelab disk shelf.
