In this video I’m walking you through a really simple PhD workflow that connects GoodNotes, Zotero, and Notion—because I genuinely cannot cope with a system that’s “technically organised” but takes eight million steps to maintain. I start with a quick overview of how I think about each tool: Zotero is where the papers live (and where my citations stay sane), Notion is where my project actually gets managed, and GoodNotes is where I do the messy, human part—reading, annotating, and thinking. Then I get practical and show you the key little bridge that makes this work: creating a share link in GoodNotes and dropping that link into another app (like Notion). The goal is that when I’m inside my Notion research hub, I can jump straight into the exact GoodNotes doc where I annotated a paper or planned a chapter—without hunting through folders on my iPad like a gremlin.
