We Stumbled Onto an Old Army Base in the Woods This abandoned U.S. Army base dates back about 130 years. It was used to train soldiers during the Spanish-American War (1898–1899), then reopened in the lead-up to World War I (1912–1917) before being abandoned for good. Deep in the woods, the base is almost erased by time. The only clues are faint, leaf-covered paths the soldiers once walked, sometimes visible through the fallen leaves with moss lining the edges. That is where we brought our metal detectors and started chasing signals, hoping to uncover the small pieces of history they left behind. Every button, buckle, and bit of brass has a story, and out here it feels like the past is still just under the surface. This was also a collaboration hunt, and we were joined by Brandon and Miranda from Adventure Archaeology and Kyle from WildKyle. It was an incredible day in the woods with good people, good detectors, and a site that kept you wondering what the next target would be. If you want us to go back and keep digging into this place, let us know in the comments and tell us what your favorite was. Be sure to check out our friends @adventurearchaeology and @WILDKYLE ! If you are interested in metal detector equipment, please consider purchasing from our store, which also helps support the channel. By getting your equipment from us, you also get access to our support when you have questions. Something Amazon doesn't offer since we actually use these metal detectors. Our store website is: https://historyseekers.net Our phone number is: 256-284-2247 If you are looking for the XP High Frequency Coil for the XP Deus II , it is currently in stock on our website. If they show in stock, we have them...otherwise, it would say sold out. These are not pre-orders. At the time of releasing this video, we only have 3 left, and it could be weeks before we get more once they are gone.
