We spend hours upon hours planning our films, packing our gear up to head out and shoot them, sometimes for days on end. But when it comes to backing up the incredible footage that we've captured, many people seem to think a simple copy and paste on your computer is enough to ensure that the footage is safe and sound. In this video, I want to show you an app that I've been using for the past year to backup all my film projects. And let me just say that this app (Hedge) has given me so much peace of mind and taken away so much stress and uncertainly out of the backup process, that I can't imagine going back to my old routine of copying footage. This is in my opinion, one of the most overlooked parts of filmmaking, so I hope this video can help shed some light on this topic.
