Last month I officially got my third residency: Palau digital residency. I cover the real benefits: a secondary sovereign ID for crypto exchanges and online services, an extra layer of privacy, and even practical perks like a Palau mailing address with a US zip code for forwarding US-only orders. I also explain the limitations clearly: it’s not citizenship, not a passport, and it doesn’t magically change your taxes. Then I walk through the step-by-step application (photo, personal details, shipping, identity verification, manual review), timelines, costs (1/5/10-year options), and where I’ve seen it work best—especially if your home country has crypto platform restrictions and you need an alternative, compliant ID for verification.
