Over time they become a symbol of youth, or a symbol of freedom—and people often hold onto them for many years simply for sentimental reasons. But holding onto an extra vehicle can quickly become a burden—you may find that cherished car sitting in your yard for years, in far worse shape than when you left it. I think it’s time I finally admit I’m only keeping my Scion xB around for sentimental reasons. We may feel like selling a treasured vehicle means losing a piece of our identity.
