Over the years, I've met with more and more people who have taken UX Bootcamps so it seems like they've become a quite popular. Since this has become a pretty common form of design education, I wanted to make a video explaining some realistic expectations I think people should consider before they take the leap. Additionally, here are some questions you can start asking yourself to help you get clearer on what is the right decision for you. 1. If you decide to quite your job to take a bootcamp, how much time are planning to give yourself before you need to find a job again? 2. Who do you want to meet? Which professional designers are working with each program? What are the mentorship opportunities? Where are the students working now? 3. Have you considered taking any programs through a design school? Why would you take a 2-4 year program? Why not? 4. How much money are you able/willing to spend on your design education? 5. What other forms of supplemental education are you ready to spend time/money with? ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ FAQ ✨ Name: Alexa Where I’m from: Wisconsin → San Francisco → San Diego About: I’m a designer!
