I've never been an endurance paddler so when I signed up for my first ever California River Quest I opted for the 50 mile course with the goal of simply finishing the paddle. I had a great crew of friends and customers doing the race and we trained out here a lot leading up for the event. Those long training days, in a variety of weather conditions actually made the race day feel like long paddle with friends instead of a grueling grind. The river was up and the weather was perfect on race day. It was an incredible challenge and one I would highly recommend!
