This 10Gb SFP+ card was a much better match for the T740 than trying to force it into being a transcoding monster. I passed it through to a Debian VM, set up Samba, and it made the box legitimately useful as a small, expandable homelab node—full 10Gb line rate aside.

- -Didn’t hit full 10Gb speeds in my testing (overhead/stack)
- -Requires SFP+ optics/DAC and compatible switching to be useful
