About This Video

This video is basically the story of my very first “real” FPV drone flight… and yeah, it didn’t go as planned. I had the FPV drone sitting around for about a month because setting everything up takes time (radio, goggles, the whole workflow), and I didn’t want my first session to be a total chaos. But at some point you just have to send it, even if your hands are shaking and your brain is still trying to understand what “flying in goggles” actually feels like. I talk through what surprised me the most: how different FPV feels compared to flying a DJI camera drone, how quickly you can get disoriented, and how fast “this is going fine” can turn into “okay… gone wrong.” The big takeaway is that your first FPV flights shouldn’t be about cinematic shots—they should be about building muscle memory, staying safe, and learning to stay calm when things get sketchy. If you’re curious about getting into cinematic FPV, this is the honest starting point, plus I’ve linked the exact gear I used so you can see what my setup looked like.
