About This Video

In this behind-the-scenes vlog I’m out with the DJI Mavic Air trying to get those “how is that even possible?” fly-through shots—stuff like threading the drone through trees and squeezing through tiny gaps to make the clip feel unreal. I show you the mindset behind these moves: it’s not about sending it blindly, it’s about picking the right line, keeping it smooth, and building the shot so it actually looks cinematic instead of just sketchy. But I also keep it real: these shots can go wrong fast. In the video you can literally see what can happen if you risk too much, so my biggest takeaway is to be careful and not push beyond what you can control. If you want the crazy footage, you need patience, a plan, and a willingness to walk away when it doesn’t feel safe. The goal is always the same for me—moody, clean, cinematic movement—without turning a fun session into a broken drone day.
