My First Time Operating My Ham Radio While Portable!

I finally operated my Yaesu FT-891 portable for the first time! In this vlog, I headed to a local park with my friend @notastormchaser to test out operating portable HF before attempting my first Parks On The Air (POTA) activation, and played around for a couple of hours on 20m FT8 and SSB phone using the Yaesu FT-891, my newest antenna, the MFJ-2286 BigStick antenna and my Powerwerx PWRbox MINI 10 Ah Portable Power Box. I made several USA contacts on FT8 and SSB phone, and even a DX contact in Spain on FT8 and had a ton of fun! 73, KI5IRE!
