One of our most frequently asked questions is, "How do you afford to travel?" In this video I share my personal experience with how I worked, lived simply, and saved money to afford my travels! I actually began traveling a couple decades ago, and in my early days I was working minimum wage jobs. It was during my twenties that I took my longest trips in Africa and Southeast Asia where I was traveling for months at a time. Keep in mind that I was also doing solo budget travel. This meant staying in hostels, eating food from the grocery store, doing free activities, walking everywhere or using public transportation. I was backpacking and not staying in luxury hotels or eating in expensive restaurants.
