Meet John, an Approved Premises manager at West Midlands probation, whose role involves creating a safe environment, ensuring the safety of staff, offenders and the public. Growing up, personal circumstances meant he found himself skipping school. At 16 years old, he made the decision to find employment to provide for his family and pave his own way. Throughout his career, John has been a prison officer, custody officer for West Midlands Police and worked in Community Payback before qualifying as a probation officer in 2003. 🏆In appreciation for his hard work over the years, John received a Butler Trust Award for Leadership and Rehabilitation.
