💬 “What motivates me is trying to do what I can to show them that there is a different way to live their life.” Mark is the governor at HMP Swinfen Hall and has developed a rehabilitative culture where prisoners are supported to resolve conflict in a non-violent way. There are prisoners who have the role of ‘peacekeepers’ in the jail and staff work with them to help solve conflict. The impact Mark and team have seen so far is it’s helped prisoners think about their futures as well as the impact of their behaviours on victims, victims’ families and themselves.
