Community Payback Diaries: Serving lunch to the community

“It feels like I’m doing something for the community and that’s what it’s all about” Take a look at a Community Payback project where offenders learn to prepare, cook and serve a hot meal at a local Lunch Club for the elderly. This is one of 8 lunch clubs running across South Yorkshire which the region has been supporting for over 20 years. The network of lunch clubs caters for around 300 people a week where attendees receive a hot meal and socialise with others while the Community Payback team learn new skills and give back to society.
