Everyday in the UK, 21 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Two thirds of these women, an estimated 5,000, are diagnosed late, when their cancer is harder to treat. Late diagnosis is largely due to both a low awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms and that these symptoms are often vague.
